Labelling Assistant / Warehouse Worker

A great opportunity to work for a small highly respected family business.

Hours: Monday - Friday 08.30 - 5pm (4.30pm finish on a Friday)

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Warehouse / Labelling Assistant to join our labelling and warehouse team.

The role involves working as part of a small team within the labelling department, where attention to detail, organisation and a high level of responsibility are essential.

Duties include:

Working, operating and setting up the on the labelling line and printing equipment.
Checking labels carefully to ensure the correct product, information, ingredients, allergens, weights and other details are accurate.
Maintaining a high standard of quality control throughout the labelling process.
Packing orders, putting stock onto shelves, building pallets.
Stock taking and stock rotation.
Loading and unloading stock where required.
Keeping the labelling and work areas clean, organised and efficient.
Assisting with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of labelling equipment.
Learning to use the department's computer and label-printing systems.
Working closely with production and the office to ensure labelling requirements are completed accurately and on time.

It is a fast-paced environment which requires concentration at all times and a high level of quality control ensuring the Hawkshead Relish brand is superbly presented on all our products. This is a very physical role, so a good level of fitness is required.

Attention to detail and ability to take instruction and work unsupervised needed. Ability to prioritise and being technically minded with an interest into how machinery and printing equipment operates would also be ideal.

No previous experience is required as full training will be given, however previous experience in warehouse, production or manufacturing site would be advantageous.

Fork lift license is preferable, but not necessary.
