Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Coatings Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that coating processes meet stringent standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of coatings on various surfaces, ensuring adherence to specified standards and specifications.
- Utilise specialised measurement tools and analysis skills to assess coating thickness, adhesion, and surface finish quality.
- Monitor the application process to identify any defects or inconsistencies in real-time, providing immediate feedback to production teams.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection results, deviations, and corrective actions taken, ensuring traceability and compliance with quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with production personnel to resolve coating issues promptly and implement process improvements where necessary.
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with HACCP standards and other relevant safety regulations.
- Assist in the development and review of quality control procedures related to coatings.
Experience
- Proven experience in coatings inspection or a related field within manufacturing or surface treatment industries.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection data accurately.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and their application within manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance processes and standards relevant to coatings and surface treatments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to maintain detailed documentation under tight deadlines.
- Previous experience using measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, or coating thickness meters is advantageous.
