Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Reservations Agent at DoubleTree by Hilton Nottingham - Gateway Hotel. The Reservations Agent will be responsible for managing hotel reservations, providing exceptional guest service, and ensuring every guest receives a warm and efficient booking experience from their first point of contact.
Working as part of a dynamic team, Reservations Agent will handle reservation enquiries, maximise room occupancy through effective sales techniques, and ensure all bookings are processed accurately in accordance with Hilton brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle reservation enquiries via telephone, email, and online booking channels
- Process new bookings, amendments, cancellations, and special requests accurately and efficiently
- Provide guests with information about room types, rates, hotel facilities, and local attractions
- Promote room upgrades, packages, and additional hotel services to maximise revenue opportunities
- Maintain accurate reservation records using the hotel's Property Management System (PMS)
- Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, and Revenue departments to ensure smooth guest arrivals
- Monitor room availability and assist with inventory management
- Resolve guest enquiries and complaints professionally while maintaining high service standards
- Process deposits and payments in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure compliance with Hilton policies, data protection requirements, and health and safety standards
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in hotel reservations, front office, hospitality, or customer service is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Good computer skills and experience using reservation or Property Management Systems is advantageous

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
