We’re looking for a Cyber Security Analyst.

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst with a strong foundation in identifying, analysing, and mitigating cyber threats. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding sensitive data, maintaining system integrity, and supporting the organisation’s wider risk management strategy.

Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst
Salary: Up to £40,000.00 DoE
Location: Nelson
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30/9:00 – 5:00/5:30 (37.5 hours)

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will:

Respond to security alerts, escalations, and incidents in a timely manner.
Oversee vulnerability scanning processes to validate the effectiveness of patching efforts.
Arrange and support security penetration testing initiatives.
Monitor external information sources and provide recommendations on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities relevant to our environment.
Assess, plan, and coordinate patch management activities for internal systems and hardware.
Evaluate and recommend server hardening measures for implementation by the Infrastructure Team.
Assist with the configuration of email and internet security solutions.
Ensure all security configurations comply with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
