Full job description

Position Summary
The Rock Inn is a family owned and run business, for this position we are seeking a commis chef or experienced kitchen assistant to join our kitchen team, This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills & learn more about all sides of a professional kitchen. Estimated Start Date: Before the summer holidays. Hours per week: 26+ (20 hours to include weekends, exact hours depend on what you bring to the table)

Responsibilities

Running the fryer section
Food prep work
Assisting in pot washing / kitchen porter duties
Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly.
You will report directly to our Head Chef
Qualifications & Requirements
Prior experience within a professional kitchen is required
Knowledge of basic food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills & can follow firm vocal instruction.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Your own reliable transport is essential
Must be at least 17 years old in order to work the hours offered by law
This is mostly weekend work with occasional weekday shifts as well
