Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Water Connections Gang Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of water connection systems. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires a proactive approach to safety and teamwork. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the utilities and construction sector.
You will work alongside an experienced ganger to complete mains connections, service connections and installs on behalf of Cascade Water Services.
MUST HAVE -
Blue card, SHEA water, experience in mini digger operations - banksmen and utilities. Must be able to drive.
Duties
- Assisting with excavation and trenching activities using hand tools and power tools
- Supporting the installation of water connection pipes and fittings according to specifications
- Operating machinery such as excavators under supervision
- Using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment to complete tasks efficiently
- Conducting basic maintenance and inspection of equipment and materials
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assisting with site preparation, clean-up, and organisation of materials
Qualifications
- Experience or familiarity with banksmen
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working with mechanical systems is desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Good teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and digging tasks
