Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves independently managing your own schedule to ensure timely collection and delivery of parcels across designated areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Multi-drop deliveries in the Maghera / Kilrea area
- Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times
- Daily collections to be completed and returned to the depot every evening
- Handle parcels with care, ensuring they are delivered in pristine condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and proof of delivery
- Manage vehicle maintenance and ensure your vehicle complies with safety standards
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during operations
Requirements
- Courier experience is desireable but not essential as full training will be provided on the job
- Valid clean driver’s licence
- Ability to perform safe lifting when handling parcels of varying sizes and weights
- Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with customers
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without supervision
- Knowledge of local area is advantageous
Self-employed roles available with potential openings through our partner contractor whereby van and fuel will be provided. Details provided on request.
