The Role
We are looking for a CNC Turner to join our team and become an important part of our department.
The primary responsibility of the role is operating and maintaining an established CNC turning production cell, ensuring components are manufactured efficiently, consistently and to the highest quality standards. The work is repeat production, making attention to detail and a proactive approach essential.
For the right candidate, there is genuine opportunity to progress beyond machine operation. If you have setting and programming experience, or the ambition to develop these skills, you'll have the chance to program new work, improve machining processes and take ownership of the turning section as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate Siemens-controlled CNC lathes.
- Set and run production jobs where required.
- Produce components to engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Carry out tool changes and offset adjustments.
- Perform in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and basic preventative maintenance.
- Ensure production targets and quality requirements are consistently achieved.
For experienced candidates, the role may also include:
- Programming new CNC turning jobs.
- Selecting tooling and developing machining strategies.
- Improving cycle times and manufacturing efficiency.
- Supporting the development and growth of the turning department.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience operating CNC lathes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and quality.
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable:
- Experience with Siemens controls.
- CNC setting experience.
- CNC programming experience.
- Experience working in a precision engineering environment.
- Familiarity with inspection equipment and quality systems.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
