Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential properties. We are looking for someone who will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and have a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

The successful applicant will be provided with a works vehicle.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
Assemble and install valves, fittings, and pipes using hand tools and power tools.
Perform welding tasks as required for pipe repairs or installations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and provide effective solutions.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various plumbing issues.
Experience in welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications is highly desirable.
Ability to plumb effectively using both traditional methods and modern techniques.
Familiarity with assembling various plumbing components using hand tools and power tools.
Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transporting equipment between job sites.
Previous experience in the plumbing industry or a related field is essential.
