We are recruiting a Specialist Notetaker to support students during the upcoming 26/27 Academic Year.
We are looking for someone with a background or understanding of robotics.
Your role:
To support students who require notes to be taken on their behalf. The activity of notetaking is to produce an accurate and legible record of the content of lectures, seminars, discussions, off-campus events etc. in the student’s preferred style and format.
Notes should contain pertinent information from the session (and any questions and discussion if required), may include diagrams and may be referenced to any hand-outs. The notetaker must hand over notes in the agreed format within a specified time frame.
Your Skills:
You will have experience of working with students with disabilities mainly visual impairment and specific learning difficulties. You will have quick and accurate typing skills.
Qualifications/Training:
You will be required to complete a CPD accredited note taking course before you commence employment (provided free of charge as an online course).
All candidates should ideally possess a good degree, as most support will be at higher education institutions.

Additional Information:
The working hours vary according to the needs of the student and the academic timetable. We are seeking support workers who are currently self-employed, or in the process of registering as a self-employed professional.
