Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to the correct destinations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage heavy lifting as needed. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van or other delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to scheduled routes.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery statuses and any potential delays.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring they are secure during transit.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when loading and unloading items.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures when necessary.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including sorting and organising packages for dispatch.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is an advantage.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and time management.
