In this hands-on and interesting role, you will be reporting to the Payments Manager. You will support the business-critical payments function, providing excellent insight and exposure across payments, purchase order matching, statement reconciliation and payment processing activities.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
What you'll do
In this varied role, you will:
provide an accounts payable service in a manner consistent with the objectives of the YTL group
process purchase invoices and action supplier queries
prepare pay runs on a daily/weekly basis and action urgent payments as required
effectively and promptly deal with supplier reminders, final demands, and legal notices
ensure accurate and timely payment to suppliers/contractors in accordance with Late Payment Legislation
assist with ad hoc requests and administration duties as and when required.
What you'll need
You will:
be qualified to GCSE level or equivalent, in English and mathematics
have proven capability within an accounts payable capacity
have experience using Microsoft Office, with strengths in Excel and Word
have excellent written and verbal communication skills, both face-to-face and on the telephone
be able to manage your own workload effectively, working to key service levels
be confident, assertive and self-motivated
have a 'can do' and proactive attitude
appreciate the importance and strengths of working within a team.
A working knowledge of Unit 4 Agresso or COINS is advantageous but not essential.
