Seasonal Candle Production Line Operative (Temporary Mid-August to Mid-December)
Helping create and pack candles, diffusers and room sprays by hand with a high level of accuracy.
Please note this is not a warehouse role.

Osmology by Aery is an award-winning brand creating unique home fragrance and wellbeing products, with a strong focus on sustainability, quality, and thoughtful design. We are a small, hardworking, and friendly team that takes pride in creating high-quality candles, diffusers, and room sprays. We have recently moved to our new production, goods in and head office site at St Phillips Industrial Park.
As we approach our busiest season, we are looking for temporary Production Operatives to join us from mid-August through to mid-December. These are key roles within the business, working closely with the Production Manager and Team Leaders to support the day-to-day running of our production and packing areas.
You will help ensure products are produced, packed, and prepared for collection while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
We are seeking applicants who are currently based in Bristol or the surrounding area and can reliably commute to the workplace Monday to Thursday.
Working Hours
This role is Monday to Thursday only.
Our core production team works 7:00am – 3:00pm; however, we can also accommodate the following fixed shift patterns please indicate which shift(s) you wish to be considered for:
- 7:00am – 3:00pm
- 8:00am – 3:00pm
- 9:00am – 3:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Help create candles, diffusers, and room sprays by following detailed instructions with a high level of accuracy.
- Prepare materials for production, including glass bottles, ceramic vessels, cardboard tubes, lids, and flat-packed boxes.
- Prepare containers, insert wicks, pour soy wax, trim wicks, bottle products, and apply labels.
- Operate pouring and labelling equipment where required and safely handle materials throughout the production process.
- Bottle, label, and batch-code products, ensuring all labels are correct and clearly visible.
- Assemble boxes and package products correctly into tubes and cartons.
- Place finished products securely into designated packaging and prepare them for storage or collection.
- Assist with pallet management, including building, wrapping, labelling, and preparing pallets for dispatch.
- Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control checks to ensure finished products meet company standards.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and use personal protective equipment where required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workspace, including cleaning down equipment and preparing for the next day's production.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute positively to the team environment.
What We're Looking For
This is a physically active production role. You will spend most of your shift standing on a production line carrying out repetitive tasks and working at pace during our busiest period of the year. The role involves manual handling and maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the shift.
We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.
- Previous production, packing, manufacturing, or food industry experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a small, hardworking, and friendly team.
- Good timekeeping, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Applicants must be available to work for the full duration of the contract from mid-August through to mid-December.
Full training will be provided; however, applicants with relevant production, manufacturing, or food industry experience will be at an advantage. This is NOT a warehouse role however previous warehouse experience is welcome if you have worked in packing, quality control or production environments.
