Full job description

Buxton Butchers is a well-established catering butchers located on the edge of Bristol providing high quality meat and poultry to the catering sector. We are currently looking to employ an experienced butcher to join our team working Mondays to Fridays with some Saturdays (on a rota basis). Immediate start available for the right candidate. Salary between £30,000 and £35,000 depending on experience. (We may consider a 'trainee butcher' for the right candidate, but salary adjusted according to to reflect current skills)

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cut meat and poultry products according to customer specifications
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of all meat products
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in inventory management

Skills:
- Experienced in areas of butchery with demonstrable skills
- Proficient in food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to handle and prepare different types of meat products
- Excellent knife skills and precision in cutting meat
- Attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency in meat preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Able to work with other team members within the factory
