Role Overview
Hours of work will typically be 7am-5pm with expected overtime depending on business needs. Approx hours per week will be 45-50.
A unique role on site to ensure the business maintains Good Manufacturing Standards across the entire site including all external and internal areas, yard, offices, production, and other ancillary areas. There will be a high involvement with the site Technical lead who will issue bespoke tasks on a daily & weekly basis dependant on the findings from various site reviews against our standard requirements.
Focus will be on areas that do not get routinely cleaned but are being highlighted on various inspections. A role that does not report into hygiene or production but is aligned with every department’s needs.
Including a high amount of outside and office cleaning mixed in with production area cleaning and H&S or Housekeeping tasks to ensure all areas of the site are kept to the high standard required, creating a safe and hygienic environment for food production. Meet any required targets and completion times and feedback any issues or further areas that need work on a daily basis. Meet and maintain the requirements for the BRCGS audit, Environmental Health, and frequent customer visits.

· Excellent attention to detail and can think outside the norm, identify better ways of working, areas requiring attention whilst having the strength to implement at speed.

· Flexible and willing to support the site team, contribute across other areas if necessary.
Training Provided by the Company
· Food Safety & Hygiene Certification level 2.
· Knowledge of controls within the business for BRCGS and legal audits.
· HACCP level 2.
· Chemical & cleaning training.
Job Description
To include but not limited to:
· Continually raising the site standards on site & ensure compliance to the BRCGS Standard for Food Safety.
· Detailed yard cleaning, weed clearance, waste removal including kerb clearance and upkeep around all external buildings.
· Daily Communal area cleaning, e.g. offices, canteen, toilets, to changing rooms.
· Washing, drying, and organising overalls / Issuing PPE.
· PPE, chemical & H&S equipment stock takes and replenishment.
· Wall, skirting, floor, door, and reachable ceiling cleaning.
· Detailed clear out & removal exercises on stores and external areas.
· Cleaning of mobile equipment (e.g. FLT, pallet trucks).
· Adhoc tasks required for to ensure our hygiene standards are kept throughout the business.
· Ensure work is carried out in accordance with specified cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure cleaning achieves the necessary standards.
· Ensure Health and Safety Practices are followed at all times and ensure compliance to safe systems of work when using chemicals and equipment/machinery.
· Be vigilant and proactive in identifying inefficiencies or methods of improvement.
· High Ability to prioritise the tasks given to you.
· Build a strong working relationship with the site Technical Lead. Report and help resolve issues found on a daily basis.
· Create and maintain a tidy working environment, following the clean as you go policy.
· Work and communicate well as part of a small team.
Monday to Friday, start time 07.00am, Saturday availability;
