Full job description

JR Recovery 2 Fitness is looking for a Sports Massage / Soft Tissue Therapist to join its practice in the North East, working from two sites: Heaton, Newcastle (NE6 5RS) and Whitley Bay (NE26 2JL). Applicants able to cover one or both sites will be considered.

The clinic treats a broad mix of clients: all ages, people in physically demanding and desk-based jobs, and sportspeople from runners to badminton, golf, football and rugby players. Common presentations include lower back pain, reduced range of motion, tension headaches, plantar fascia pain, work-related postural strain, and recurring shoulder and neck problems.

The role

This is a self-employed associate position within an established clinic. It is not a sales or commission role, and there is no requirement to find your own clients. Patients are booked in by the clinic and referred across from the chiropractic side. Earnings are a share of the treatment fees you deliver, with the share agreed at interview according to experience. Days and hours are flexible and will be agreed to suit both sides. Newly qualified therapists are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Minimum Level 4 Sports Massage Therapy, or an equivalent Level 4 or 5 soft tissue therapy qualification. Level 3 therapists part way through Level 4, or planning to start it, may be considered.
