We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker (HSW) to join our Outpatients team. This is an excellent opportunity to support high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced environment while developing your clinical skills and experience.

About the role

Deliver high standards of care as delegated by the RHP
Support patients through outpatient appointments, procedures, and basic diagnostic tests
Assist clinical teams with examinations and treatments
Ensure a professional, efficient, and compassionate patient experience
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture

Skills and experience required

Educated to GCSE level or with equivalent experience
Relevant professional qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate, or willingness to work toward it
Basic Life Support training
Clinical skills such as; phlebotomy, cannulation, ECG recording, catheter, bladder scanning, dressing changes Phlebotomy
Confident IT skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure
Methodical approach with strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal communication, using tact and diplomacy
Strong patient‑centred ethos
A team player who promotes professionalism and positive working relationships
Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and ethical behaviour
A positive, adaptable, and proactive attitude
