Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detailed Part Time Book keeper to join our small team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting our accounting functions. We have recently implemented xero and now need to make best use of this package.

Duties

Manage and record daily financial transactions using Xero
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all accounts are accurate
Assist with payroll processing and expense reporting
Maintain organised financial records in compliance
Liase with Company Director
Knowledge of Partial Exceptions VAT
Support year end preparations by providing necessary documentation and reports
Indexing of paper work / invoices / client records

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software on Xero to an advanced level
Strong understanding of book keeping principles and practices
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity
Good communication skills
A recognised qualification in accounting or bookkeeping is desirable but not essential
Great attitude - we're a small but fast moving company
Good understanding on HMRC requirements.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking part time work - starting with 1 fixed day per week.

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
