Full job description

Kitchen porters are an essential role, who primarily ensure the chefs have the tools to meet the guest needs. It is a great role for anyone who wants to gain experience in a kitchen setting.

What the role will involve

Work the pot wash, making sure that all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are correctly cleaned
Ensure all dishes are clean and put away safely and securely
Correctly dispose of all food and general waste produced by the kitchen
Help keep the bin stores organised
Keep the kitchen to a high level of cleanliness, ensuring all floors are frequently swept and mopped
Be flexible to jump into any roll within the kitchen when needed
Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues

What you can bring to the role

Outstanding hygiene standards are essential
Certificate in elementary food hygiene would be desirable
Team player
Strong organisational skills
Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be fully flexible in their approach to work and be able to work shift patterns through weekdays and weekends
