Company Description

The Georgian Pump Room has been the social heart of Bath for more than two centuries, and boasts amongst its previous patrons Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.

The Pump Room in Bath are looking for a Events Wash up/Kitchen porter to join the team and support the day to day running of the Pump Room.

As a Events Wash up/Kitchen porter Assistant you will receive the following industry leading benefits:

Job Description

Job Type: Hours as Required

Hourly Rate: NMW plus tronc

Predominately evening shifts

You will work closely with the team, ensuring to create a nurturing and positive environment for the team.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of food in line with chef direction
Keeping the kitchen and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state at all times.
Provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers.
To be flexible to work in all kitchens, serveries, staff canteens and external reception spaces
To ensure all areas of the kitchens and service areas on all floors are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness, providing a clean and safe working area.
To be flexible to work in all areas of the kitchen.
To maintain all catering storage areas, ensuring they are always organised and clean.
To receive, count, inspect and store goods and/or equipment and dispensing or disposing them to/from departments as and when required.
To be involved with some food preparation and service when required.
Report immediately any incidents or accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate
Report any broken equipment to the Executive chef/ Head chef

Qualifications

You don’t need any experience just an appetite for excellent customer service, an appreciation for good food and the rest we can teach you.
