IT Valley (London) Limited is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Performance Tester to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting the company’s sales growth. This role requires good communication skills, confidence in dealing with customers, and the ability to achieve sales targets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Design and manage the overall performance testing strategy for web and mobile applications, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
· Define measurable performance benchmarks, SLAs, and success criteria in collaboration.
· Conduct load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing to evaluate application behavior under normal and peak traffic conditions.
· Validate application responsiveness, stability, and reliability to ensure optimal end-user experience.
· Prepare and present performance test results, risk assessments, and release readiness reports to leadership and clients.
· Plan and coordinate performance testing activities across sprint cycles and release schedules.
· Work closely with developers, architects, and business analysts to integrate performance requirements early in the development lifecycle.
· Analyze system architecture, infrastructure limitations, and integration dependencies to identify performance risks and capacity issues.
· Investigate bottlenecks related to application code, APIs, databases, network latency, or infrastructure constraints.
· Provide technical leadership to testing teams by reviewing deliverables, setting standards, and driving process improvements.
- Act as the primary escalation point for critical performance-related concerns and support release decisions.
- Promote continuous improvement by enhancing testing frameworks, methodologies, and automation practices.
Skills & Experience
· Extensive hands-on experience in performance testing of large-scale enterprise applications.
· Strong knowledge of performance engineering concepts including load testing, capacity planning, stress testing, and bottleneck analysis.
· Experience with automation frameworks and testing tools such as Appium, Selenium, Cypress, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar platforms.
· Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for test automation and framework development.
· Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
· Solid understanding of distributed application architecture, APIs, databases, and system integrations.
· Hands-on experience with APM and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, or similar solutions.
· Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
· Proven ability to mentor junior testers or lead performance testing teams.
Pay: £40,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
