Job Description:
Red Rose Travel is recruiting an experienced Vehicle/Bus Mechanic to join our growing workshop team. We are an equal opportunities employer committed to maintaining a safe, reliable fleet and delivering excellent service across our operating areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair and maintain buses and light commercial vehicles.
Perform routine servicing, MOT preparation work, brakes, suspension, engine and transmission repairs.
Carry out electrical fault-finding and basic diagnostics.
Complete vehicle safety checks and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
Keep accurate maintenance records and parts usage logs.
Work with workshop team to prioritise jobs and maintain turnaround times.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.

Requirements:

Relevant mechanical experience with buses, coaches or large commercial vehicles required.
Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
Significant hands-on experience working on buses, coaches or large commercial vehicles preferred.
Good diagnostic and mechanical skills; diesel engine experience essential.
Valid driving licence; PCV licence desirable but not required.
Strong attention to detail, reliable and punctual.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
