The Liverpool Arms is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our passionate kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef who takes pride in producing high-quality food, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to take the next step in their career.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining exceptional food standards, supporting the team, and helping to drive creativity and consistency across our menus.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the daily management of the kitchen.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Assist with menu development and seasonal specials.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Manage stock, ordering, and minimise food waste.
- Train and develop junior members of the team.
- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a quality restaurant, pub, or hotel.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen management.
- A positive attitude and a team-focused approach.
