Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Trailer/Tanker Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of trailers and tanker units to ensure optimal safety, performance, and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operating smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to delivering reliable transportation solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, utilize your technical skills, and contribute to a safety-first environment.

Duties

Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on trailers and tankers to ensure safety and operational efficiency
Fabricate, modify, and assemble trailer components using welding and mechanical skills
Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
Repair and replace electrical wiring, lighting systems, valves, seals and other tanker components
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery for repairs and modifications
Conduct heavy lifting as needed for component replacement or installation tasks.
Maintain detailed service records, inspection logs, and repair documentation.

Essential Requirements:

Full UK driving licence.

Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician or equivalent recognised mechanical qualification.

Proven experience as a Trailer and/or Tanker Technician. Diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Knowledge of pneumatic, electrical and braking systems.

Welding and fabrication experience is desirable.

Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Familiarity with maintenance procedures .

Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols.

Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members.
