Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly local run dental practice. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in patient care, dental procedures, and administrative duties within a professional environment. The role is paid and suitable for individuals looking to develop a career in dental healthcare, with training provided to support your growth.

Duties

Assisting the dental team with patient care before, during, and after treatments
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Welcoming patients, checking them in, and managing appointment schedules efficiently
Providing information to patients regarding treatments and post-treatment care
Maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems
Supporting administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and handling enquiries
Ensuring the practice maintains a clean, organised, and welcoming environment
Assisting with stock management and ordering supplies as needed

Qualifications

Basic understanding of patient care principles and a genuine interest in healthcare
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Prior experience or knowledge of nursing or healthcare is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
Proficiency in IT systems and basic computer skills
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Strong organisational skills to manage appointments and maintain accurate records
Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment
Enthusiasm for learning new skills within the dental sector

Start time is 08:30-5:00pm

The practice Post code is GU4 7EW, there is free parking at the practice.

Once qualified, you will be able to learn new skills and work with a number of our specialists on site. to develop your skills further and grow within the practice.

Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
