Role Overview

Would you like to be a key member in one of the most exciting cinema venues in the UK? Omniplex Cinemas are seeking an exceptional General staff to work in our landmark cinema located on Renfrew Street in the heart of Glasgow city centre. This unique location is home to the world’s tallest cinema, delivering a premium cinema experience across multiple floors in one of the UK’s most vibrant entertainment districts.

Omniplex is one of the largest and fastest growing cinema chains across the UK and Ireland, and our continued expansion into Great Britain marks an exciting new chapter for the brand. Our cinemas combine luxury reclining seating, cutting edge audio visual technology, and innovative food and beverage concepts, creating a truly modern cinema experience for our guests.

Job Description:

Please note - you must be over 18 to apply for this role due to late night work and alcohol sales.

Friday evening and full weekend availability is required for this role. This is a shift based role which changes weekly depending on business levels. The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours.

TYPICAL DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIESA cinema staff member is responsible for

:· Cleaning·

Cash Handling

· Concessions

· Dealing with customer enquiries

· Front of house

· Maintaining upkeep of auditoria

· Ticketing Office

- Food & Drinks Service

KEY AREAS FOR TRAINING

Full training will be provided in the following key areas

:· Cash Handling

· Digital Projection

· Health and Safety

· Policies and Standard Operating Procedures

· Reporting

· Stock Control

· Ticketing Software

· Fire Safety

- Food Service- Food Safety

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREDNo qualifications necessary, but retail experience is preferred.

KEY SKILLS FOR CINEMA GENERAL STAFF

Personal qualities such as good problem solving, organisational, interpersonal and verbal communication skills are important. All candidates must be confident, commercially aware and capable of forming good relationships with a wide range of people. Good business and IT skills are also important. Cinema staff must be able to work fully flexible hours.
