Accounts Receivable Clerk
The opportunity
A great opening has come up for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join the Finance team at Advanced Supply Chain Group on a fixed-term basis of 6 to 12 months. We work in a hybrid way, so your week is split between home and our Bradford office (BD12) - a straightforward drive from Junction 26 of the M62. The salary on offer is up to £27,500, based on the experience you bring.
What you'll be focused on
Cash flow is the lifeblood of any business, and this role is all about protecting it. Your day-to-day mission is to keep customer payments landing on time and matching up correctly — combining a proactive, relationship-led approach to collections with a keen eye on accuracy. You won't be working in isolation, either: you'll team up with colleagues right across the business to get our invoicing right first time, because accurate data upstream saves everyone headaches down the line.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Matching incoming payments against remittances quickly and correctly
- Following up with customers to resolve any remittance discrepancies and keep things clear
- Getting to the bottom of invoice queries and routing them to the right teams to fix
- Staying on top of overdue balances and chasing payment with confidence
- Working through more challenging accounts and escalating them to your Team Leader (or above) where appropriate
- Placing customers on stop when it's the right call to control risk
- Keeping customer records clean and current within Sage
