Colchester Borough Homes (CBH) is an award-winning organisation established by Colchester Borough Council. Since 2003, we have been at the heart of the local community, delivering high-quality housing management and maintenance services to approximately 7,000 homes across the borough. Our work makes a real difference to residents' lives by ensuring safe, well-maintained and sustainable homes for our communities.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated PV Bird Protection Manager to join our Asset Management Team. This is a unique opportunity to lead a specialist programme that helps protect our housing assets, improve resident satisfaction and ensure compliance with environmental and legislative requirements.

Working closely with residents, contractors, technical specialists and internal stakeholders, you will oversee the investigation and resolution of complex property-related issues, ensuring practical, compliant and cost-effective solutions are implemented.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines technical expertise, contract management, project leadership and stakeholder engagement. You will have the opportunity to influence service delivery, drive continuous improvement, manage specialist contractors and contribute directly to enhancing the condition and performance of our homes. The role also offers the chance to support and develop Assistant Asset Managers, apprentices and trainees, helping to build professional capability across the service.
If you enjoy solving complex challenges, leading specialist programmes and making a tangible difference to residents and communities, this could be the ideal next step in your career.
