About the Role
Join a team where your expertise can make a lasting impact on one of Europe's largest and most complex construction projects. At EDF, Success is Personal. As a Quality Management Lead, you'll help assure the quality of critical equipment, systems and services that support the safe delivery of a nationally significant programme, while shaping your career in a way that works for you.
The Opportunity
As a Quality Management Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring quality requirements are achieved across the full project lifecycle at Hinkley Point C. Acting as the quality focal point for your portfolio of contracts, you'll help drive Right First Time delivery while supporting the safe and successful completion of major nuclear infrastructure.
You’ll join us on a salary starting of £66,866 per annum. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 2–3 days per week based at the #HinkleyPointC site. The remaining time can be spent working from home or from an allocated HPC office location, although this is predominantly a site-based role due to the nature of the work.
Working closely with project teams, suppliers and quality specialists, you'll help support our journey towards An Electric Britain. You'll gain exposure to complex engineering, manufacturing and construction activities while influencing quality performance across a diverse supply chain and contributing to one of the UK's most ambitious energy projects.
Who You Are
We're looking for a Quality Management Lead who combines strong technical knowledge with a proactive and collaborative approach. You'll be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, providing challenge where needed and driving quality improvements across complex project environments. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
-
Experience delivering quality assurance and quality control activities within the nuclear industry or another highly regulated, safety-critical sector
-
Experience of project delivery across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction or commissioning environments
-
A HNC, HND or degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline, or an equivalent qualification
-
Proven experience managing supplier quality requirements, quality plans, audits, inspections and non-conformance processes
-
Experience working with contractors, supply chain partners and multidisciplinary project teams
-
Experience analysing quality data, producing reports and making recommendations to support project delivery
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Managing quality execution across assigned contracts and work packages to ensure compliance with project requirements
-
Reviewing and monitoring contractor quality assurance plans and developing project quality control plans
-
Coordinating quality surveillance, inspections and manufacturing documentation reviews across the supply chain
-
Supporting the resolution of non-conformances and driving effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence
-
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and inspection organisations to achieve Right First Time delivery
Pay, Benefits and Culture
Alongside a salary starting of £66,866 per annum, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
