Student Wellbeing and Support is a multidisciplinary service dedicated to helping students thrive throughout their university journey. The department provides a broad range of specialist and preventative support services that promote wellbeing, inclusion, academic success, retention, and positive student outcomes.
Working collaboratively with academic schools, professional services, and external partners, the team supports students with a wide range of needs, including disability and neurodiversity support, mental health and wellbeing, counselling, and access to external support services. The department is committed to delivering compassionate, student-centred support, ensuring that students can access the advice, adjustments, and interventions they need to engage fully in their studies and university life.
Through a combination of direct support, partnership working, data-informed service development, and proactive wellbeing initiatives, Student Wellbeing and Support plays a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive university community where all students have the opportunity to succeed.
Join our Student Wellbeing and Support team in a pivotal role that combines operational coordination, data insight, and partnership working to help ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working across multiple priorities and building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be confident handling sensitive information, coordinating complex processes, and using data to support service improvement and informed decision-making.
You will be educated to GCSE level (including English and Maths) or equivalent, with experience of providing operational, administrative, or business support within a complex organisation, ideally within higher education. You must be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders are essential requirements. You will also have experience of coordinating meetings, maintaining accurate records, and using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Desirable requirements: Experience of managing supplier or contractor relationships, knowledge of Freedom of Information and Health & Safety requirements, and an understanding of the support needs of students accessing wellbeing, disability, or specialist support services would be advantageous.

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is Flexible and connected (Professional Services)
Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.
