Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 360 Operator with groundwork experience to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a 360-degree excavator to carry out various earthmoving and groundwork tasks on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment. Prior experience with commercial driving and excavator operation is essential to ensure smooth project progression and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Operate a 360-degree excavator to perform excavation, loading, and site preparation tasks in accordance with project specifications.
- Carry out groundwork activities including trenching, grading, and site levelling.
- Assist with site set-up and mobilisation of equipment as required.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs or potential faults.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.
- Assist with the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment across different sites as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating 360-degree excavators in groundwork projects.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks on machinery.
- Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) or equivalent, with experience in transporting heavy equipment if necessary.
- Demonstrable groundwork experience, including trenching, grading, and site preparation tasks.
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols relevant to construction sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials when required.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team environment.
