Full job description

An exciting opportunity for a capable, enthusiastic and highly organised individual who would like to train as a Dental Nurse to be involved in a forward-thinking Dental Practice in the heart of Bridgend.

We are offering a fully funded 2-year trainee dental nurse programme which after successful completion will allow you to obtain a recognised Level 3 Diploma granting you the status of a Qualified Dental Nurse. No previous dental experience is required as we will provide the training in association with Tooth Fairies. We have experience of training Dental Nurses and understand how important support is when learning new roles. Permanent full time

Salary- £12.71 per hour, would increase after qualifying

Start date- June 2026

Terms and conditions

- Holidays - 28 days p.a

- Hours – 37.5 hours per week

We will be mixed practice of NHS and Private providing a full range of dental care.

We hope to create a strong team and we are highly patient focused. The practice will be right in the heart of Bridgend town centre which has dozens of places to visit for lunch and shopping. The team you will be joining consists of full time dentist, 3 part time dentists, a dental hygienist, 4 nurses and 2 receptionists. We wish to create a good atmosphere in the practice and want somebody that will help add to our amazing team.

We will be looking for candidates of high integrity and commitment, who are conscientious, and have excellent communications skills.

Key skills required for the role:

· A-C grade GCSEs in Maths and English (this is ideal but not essential as further courses can be done during the training if required)

· Highly developed interpersonal skills including empathy and relationship building skills

· Customer service skills

· Communication skills both written & verbal

· Competency in IT systems

· Good organisational skills and a comfort multi-tasking

· Motivation and drive to make your role a success

· Easily builds rapport with people and has a friendly and approachable disposition.

· Works well within a team

· Reliable

· Enthusiastic with a positive attitude

· Courteous, tactful and discreet.
