We're looking for an EHS Co-ordinator to join our team at our Elsham site on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Working alongside the EHS Manager, you'll help maintain a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible workplace while supporting the continuous improvement of our Health, Safety and Environmental systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing who is looking to build on their knowledge of EHS within a supportive and fast-moving environment.
What you'll be doing
As EHS Co-ordinator, you'll support the day-to-day management of Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the site. You'll work with colleagues across all departments to promote safe working practices, maintain compliance and help drive improvements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the EHS Manager with the maintenance and improvement of the site's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
- Carrying out workplace inspections, behavioural safety observations and environmental inspections.
- Assisting with internal and external audits and ensuring actions are completed.
- Supporting accident, incident and near miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitoring and tracking actions arising from audits, inspections and investigations.
- Preparing EHS reports and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Creating and reviewing risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
- Coordinating occupational health activities, including health surveillance and DSE assessments.
- Supporting fire safety arrangements, emergency preparedness and first aid compliance.
- Working with operational teams to promote a positive health and safety culture.
- Assisting with customer questionnaires and compliance requests.
- Providing support to other local ProAmpac sites when required.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working with people to improve safety and compliance within a manufacturing environment.
Essential:
- Experience in an EHS, Health & Safety or compliance role within manufacturing or industry.
- Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards it).
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively.
Desirable:
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification.
- Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance and management systems.
- Experience preparing risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
