John Leggott College is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and relationship-focused Learner Pathways Officer – Employability to join our successful Learner Pathways Team.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work with ambitious young people, helping them develop the skills, confidence and experiences needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships, higher education and positive future destinations. Working closely with employers, industry partners and college colleagues, you will play a key role in creating meaningful employability and work-related learning opportunities that prepare students for life beyond college.
About the Role
As a Learner Pathways Officer – Employability, you will:
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local, regional and national employers.
- Source, coordinate and promote work experience, industry placements, employer-led projects and enrichment opportunities.
- Support students to develop career-ready skills, workplace confidence and professional behaviours.
- Deliver employability-focused workshops, events and activities across the college.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams, pastoral staff and external partners to enhance student progression opportunities.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of innovative programmes that help learners understand the world of work and achieve their career aspirations.
- Support the college's commitment to outstanding student progression and destination outcomes.
