About Itad
We are a global consultancy providing evidence, learning and strategy services to help solve complex challenges.
We aim to build a more equitable, sustainable, and secure world by helping organisations use evidence to learn and take action.
In fast-moving, complex environments, we create space to reflect, make sense of change, and enable informed decisions. Through evidence, insight, and learning, we unlock strategies for better performance and lasting change.
The Human Development Practice
The Human Development practice at Itad, provides evaluation, learning and strategy services to a diverse range of clients, including bilateral governments (FCDO, DHSC), multinational agencies (Gavi, Global Fund, UNITAID) and foundations (Wellcome Trust, Novo Nordisk and Gates) . We oversee a dynamic and rapidly evolving portfolio focused around six core areas of expertise: 1. global health security (GHS); 2. sexual and reproductive health & rights (SRHR); 3. health systems strengthening (HSS); 4. global health
architecture and
strategy; 5. climate and health; and 6. education. We also work in other health areas as opportunity arises, encouraging our team members to develop their own specialisms within the practice. By joining our growing team, you will work alongside a diverse and dynamic group of people who are driven by a commitment to improve the lives of people and our planet.
Examples from our growing portfolio include:
- Global Health Security: evaluating the 23-country Fleming Fund for over nine years, supporting adaptive management of this flagship anti-microbial resistance surveillance programme. We are also evaluating COVAX for Gavi, and we are conducting a mid-term review of the Pandemic Fund for the World Bank. We also lead the TPM and evaluation for FCDO’s Tackling Deadly Diseases in Africa 2 programme.
- Strategy: we have evaluated the Global Fund’s strategy on several occasions, supported GAVI’s strategy implementation through theories of change, and supported UNITAID and WHO in shaping their work.
- We support the tripartite of Wellcome, NNF and Gates to better understand and adapt its joint programme of ground-breaking work, including programmes using Artificial Intelligence and supporting early antibiotic discovery.
- SRHR: evaluating Gates’ Adolescents 360, a youth-led, three-country participative evaluation, and acting as learning partner for FCDOs 26-country Women’s Integrated Sexual Health programme
- As an innovative learning exchange, supporting Wellcome Trust’s three African research consortia to generate cutting edge research on climate and health to support policy impact at a continental level.
