Optimum Quality Control Technician

Pay: £13.45 per hour
Hours: 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday–Friday
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Optimum RX Lens Specialists are one of the fastest-growing independent manufacturers of spectacle lenses in the UK, working with opticians across the country to manufacture specialist lenses and deliver outstanding customer service.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team.

The Role

Working within our Quality Control department, you will play an important part in ensuring the lenses we manufacture meet our high quality and industry standards before they are dispatched to our customers.

You will carry out detailed quality checks, identify any defects or inconsistencies and ensure products meet the required specification.

No previous optical experience is required as full training will be provided through our Optimum Academy. What matters most is that you are reliable, willing to learn, comfortable following processes and have an excellent eye for detail.

Essential:

A keen eye for detail and strong commitment to accuracy
A structured and methodical approach to work
Good organisation and time-management skills
Comfortable working to defined processes, targets and deadlines
A reliable and positive approach to work
Ability and agility to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable:

Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, quality or operational environment
