Company Overview

North Devon Yacht Club (NDYC), established in 1905, is a vibrant sailing and water sports club nestled in the scenic village of Instow. With around 700 members engaged in dinghy sailing, motorboating, and cruising, the club hosts racing events, national sailing competitions, and offers sailing courses for all ages. Our clubhouse features a lively bar that hosts various social events, creating a welcoming atmosphere for members and visitors alike.
Summary

We are seeking a friendly and energetic Bartender or Bar Staff member to join our team at North Devon Yacht Club in Instow. This role is vital in ensuring our members and guests enjoy exceptional service in our lively clubhouse bar. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and love engaging with people, this opportunity is perfect for you.

What you'll do

Welcome members and guests and provide a warm, professional service
Prepare and serve drinks, cocktails, and bar snacks
Assist with food orders from the galley
Handle cash and card payments accurately
Keep the bar and galley clean, stocked, and ready for service
Help set up and run club events and functions

What we're looking for

A friendly, can-do attitude and good team spirit
Reliability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events
Aged 18 or over (required to serve alcohol)
Cocktail-making experience
Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is an advantage — if not, we'll support you to complete one
Bar, hospitality, or food-service experience is welcome — full training is provided
Someone willing to work weekdays and weekends, particularly Friday and Saturday evenings.
