Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Conveyancing Paralegal / Secretary / Executive to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support property transactions and legal administration within a growing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing correspondence, preparing documentation, and assisting with conveyancing processes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Drafting and preparing legal documents related to property transactions, including contracts and transfer deeds
Managing and organising case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate conveyancing procedures
Scheduling appointments, meetings, and deadlines using Microsoft Outlook
Assisting with the preparation of reports and correspondence using Microsoft Word and Excel
Maintaining effective communication channels via email and phone calls in a professional manner
Ensuring compliance with legal procedures and internal policies throughout the conveyancing process
Providing administrative support to the legal team, including filing, data entry, and record keeping

Experience

Proven experience as a paralegal or legal secretary specialising in conveyancing or property law is preferred
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software systems quickly
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience working within a legal or professional services setting is advantageous but not mandatory
