Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Room Attendant to join our team in providing exceptional cleanliness and comfort for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation within guest rooms and public areas. Previous experience in hotel or hospitality settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as corridors and public bathrooms
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
- Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, and refreshments as required
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Adhere to organisational standards for hygiene and presentation at all times
- Assist with laundry duties when necessary
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used efficiently and maintained properly
- To carry out any other reasonable duty asked of you by the Hotel Director
Skills
- Previous experience in hotel is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organisation
- Good organisational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within allocated timeframes
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude whilst working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and guest needs
