Hills Waste Solutions – LGV Driver

Location: Purton
Salary: £33,867.93 per annum

Hours: 42.5 hours

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for a LGV Driver to join our team in Purton. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and a fantastic benefits package.

What is the role all about?

As our LGV Driver, you’ll be trained to operate a variety of Class 2 vehicles, focusing on various waste streams from commercial premises across Wiltshire. Using vehicles such as rear end loaders, roll on roll offs, hooklift and box trucks, you’ll be collecting different types of waste from bin tipping to skip collecting.

What you will be doing:

As our LGV Driver, you will:

Operating a variety of Class 2 vehicles to collect commercial waste streams across Wiltshire.
Carry out daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks, notifying the transport office of any defects.
Drive safely with due regard for other road users and work within Road Traffic legislation and regulations.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

A Class 2 LGV/HGV lorry licence holder.
Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualified.

Desirable:

Previous Class 2 vehicle driving experience – in any industry.
Excellent customer service skills and a friendly attitude.
Experience working out and about in all weathers.
