The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Quality Assistant to support our Quality department and help maintain the high standards our customers expect. This is a varied hands-on role combining quality inspection, administration, and goods in/out responsibilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Quality Inspector and Production team to ensure products meet specification, quality documentation is maintained, and goods are accurately managed.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Support
- Assist with inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies.
- Verify products meet customer drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Support investigation of quality issues and non-conformances.
- Raise and maintain Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Assist with corrective and preventive action activities.
- Maintain quality records and documentation.
- Support internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Administration
- Produce and manage delivery notes.
- Raise and process purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records within company systems.
- File and organise quality-related documentation.
- Assist with customer and supplier quality paperwork when required.
Goods In / Goods Out
- Organise and maintain the goods in/out area.
- Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
- Ensure outbound orders are correctly packed and documented.
- Maintain stock accuracy and traceability where required.
- Support stock control and inventory checks.
- Ensure the area remains clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Skills & Experience
Essential

- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Desirable
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience of quality inspection or quality systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers or gauges.
