Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Learn and apply core molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, including pipetting, sample preparation, gel electrophoresis, and basic DNA/RNA handling
- support daily laboratory operations by preparing reagents, managing stock and keeping workspaces organised
- Assist with experiments supporting RNA research, recording observations and results accurately
- Support quality control activities by conducting tests and recording results accurately
- Maintain laboratory information management systems (LIMS) by inputting data and updating records
- Help ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other relevant standards during all laboratory activities
- Organise and clean laboratory equipment and workspaces to uphold safety and hygiene standards
- Participate in calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments under supervision
- Contribute to data analysis and report compilation for ongoing research projects
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of chemicals and biological materials

Qualifications you would need before you start:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above, including English, Mathematics and Science.
Pay: From £17,998.50 per year
