Matchday Event / Traffic Steward – Events
Location: Event venues across the UK
Pay: £12.71 - £13.10 per hour
Contract: Casual event work with flexible shifts
We’re looking for friendly, reliable and safety-focused Event Stewards to join our growing Event Stewarding team. This is a great opportunity to work at a wide range of live events across the UK, including football fixtures, rugby matches, concerts, festivals and major public events.
You could be supporting events at venues and clubs such as Burnley Football Club, Wigan Athletic, Wigan Warriors, Manchester United, Everton FC, Coventry City FC and more. What you’ll be doing
- Welcoming visitors and helping create a positive first impression
- Providing directions, event information and support with general queries
- Checking tickets, access passes or accreditation where required
- Supporting safe crowd movement, queues, entry and exit routes
- Monitoring your area and reporting concerns, incidents or potential risks to supervisors
- Working as part of a team to help keep visitors, staff and performers safe
- Delivering excellent customer service throughout each event
- Supporting vehicle movement in crowded areas
- Monitoring road closures
What we’re looking for
- A professional, approachable and reliable attitude
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- The ability to stay calm, confident and helpful in busy environments
- A team-focused approach and willingness to follow instructions
- Previous event stewarding, customer service, hospitality, front of house, traffic management or car park marshal experience is advantageous but not essential
- Full training will be provided for successful candidates

Hours of work
Shifts vary depending on the event, with early, late, evening and weekend work available.
Work is offered on a casual basis, giving you the flexibility to choose shifts around your existing commitments.
Rate of pay
Pay is event dependent, with an hourly rate of £12.71, which can rise to £13.10 with training and qualifications.
