In this casual role, the successful Casual Ecologist will undertake the same duties as an Ecologist on an as‑required basis, providing cover for periods of increased workload, with no guaranteed or contracted hours.
You will be assisting in providing ecological advice on planning and similar applications, consistent with local and national policy and legislation, and ensuring that development delivers Net Benefit for Biodiversity. You will be based in the Natural Environment and Sustainability Team, which covers nature recovery, ecology, energy, landscape, trees, woodlands, and common land, so you will be well placed to develop you career in this field.
