A Sous Chef job where you can have a life outside the kitchen.

No split shifts. No late nights. Christmas Day off.

At No Sign Wine Bar, we’ve designed our kitchen operation around genuine work-life balance. There are no split shifts and no late nights, and you’ll have your evenings back.

If you love cooking, enjoy leading a small team and want a career in hospitality without the traditional hospitality hours, this could be the role for you.

Our hours are built around work-life balance

Monday–Friday: 12pm–8pm
Saturday: 12pm–7pm
Sunday: 12pm–4pm

That means no finishing late into the evening and no coming back for a second shift.

And, because we believe Christmas should be spent with the people who matter, Christmas Day is always off.

The role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef to join our independent kitchen team.

Working alongside the Head Chef/Director, you’ll have genuine input into our food offering and play an important role in creating the dishes that our customers love.

You’ll be responsible for:

* Creating and delivering exciting, flavoursome and well-balanced dishes
* Developing menus and specials alongside the Head Chef/Director
* Managing and supporting a small kitchen team
* Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
* Stock control and ordering
* Maintaining excellent cleanliness and organisation
* Driving HACCP policies and procedures
* Helping create a positive and enjoyable kitchen environment

We’re an independent venue and we believe hospitality can be ambitious without being all-consuming.

We want our chefs to have the opportunity to cook great food, develop their skills, contribute ideas and lead a team — while still having time for family, friends, hobbies and life outside work.
