Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Kitchen Assistant/Bar Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bar areas
- Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly
- Follow food safety procedures at all times, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks effectively
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws and responsible serving policies
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible serving practices
- Excellent organisational skills with strong time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
