Are you passionate about supporting young people as they take important steps towards independent living, are you able to support some of our most vulnerable adults. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Support Staff to work with children and young people (aged 16–18) who are transitioning away from social care. As well as outreach and those in adult living.
Your Role
As a valued member of our support team, you will:
· Empower young people to manage their personal finances, building essential budgeting and money management skills.
· Guide and assist with personal and household routines, fostering independence in daily life.
· Support integration into the wider community, encouraging positive engagement and participation in local activities.
· Help young people navigate both positive and challenging outcomes, equipping them with resilience and problem-solving abilities.
· Work alongside them to access and engage with health professionals, advocating for their health and well-being.
· Guide each individual towards living independently or semi-independently, building confidence every step of the way.
Working Pattern
· positions operate on a four on/off and two on/off rotas depending on the location ,offering a consistent and balanced schedule. consisting of 10.00am - 10.00pm shift plus sleep in
· You will be working solo, taking responsibility for the support and well-being of young people during your shifts.
· This is a self-employed role, providing you with flexibility and autonomy within your work.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who:
· Have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
· Are patient, empathetic, and committed to promoting independence and self-development.
· Have experience or an interest in social care, youth work, education, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
· Are proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a broader network.
· Value diversity and are committed to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people.
- have a good understanding of computers, even at a basic level. There is the handling of sensitive information so being able to file documents in an orderly and secure way is essential so a proactive way of working in this area is required
· Are already on the DBS Update Service. ( ideal but not essential )
· Hold qualifications in Health and Social Care (advantageous but not essential). we look at what skills you have to help those we support as this is just as important.
