Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Civil Construction Labourer to join our team on various construction projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of civil engineering tasks, ensuring safety and efficiency on site. Duties
- Assisting with site preparation, including clearing and organising materials
- Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment
- Assisting with excavation, trenching, and groundwork activities under supervision
- Supporting the installation of infrastructure elements such as drainage, kerbs, and pavements
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Operating basic hand tools and machinery as required (training provided)
- Assisting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Ensuring all work complies with project specifications and safety standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or civil engineering is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key
- Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour throughout the day
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Relevant certifications such as CSCS card are desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates
- Must be reliable, punctual, organised, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
Pay: £12.21-£21.99 per hour
