Full job description

We are based in Llanrhystud not aber town. Unfortunately we do not have live in accommodation but people looking to relocate we are able to put you in contact with local people who do rent rooms, houses ect.

We will not offer job sponsorship to anyone who has not been with us for a period of time before doing so.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to join our team at a renowned village pub. The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, possess excellent leadership skills, and have a strong background in kitchen operations.

Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation and service
- Oversee all aspects of food production, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Create innovative and appealing menu items while considering cost and quality
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques and best practices
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Proficient in various culinary techniques and cuisines
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- A culinary qualification or relevant certification is desirable
