And right now, we’re looking for a Property Inspector to join our Maintenance & Property Management family.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves being out and about, meeting people, solving problems and making sure properties are safe, well maintained and ready for our occupiers.
What will you be doing?
As our Property Inspector, you’ll play an important role in making sure our properties meet the standards we expect.
You’ll be out in the field inspecting properties, identifying issues and working closely with our Maintenance and Property Management teams to make sure things get resolved.
Your day could include:
- Carrying out routine and detailed property inspections
- Completing new property checks to make sure homes are up to standard and ready to be offered
- Inspecting properties following maintenance works to ensure everything has been completed to a satisfactory standard
- Carrying out inspections relating to complaints, ASB concerns and disrepair issues
- Liaising with occupiers, landlords, agents, contractors and internal teams
- Arranging and managing property inspections
- Updating our systems and uploading inspection reports and supporting documentation
- Identifying issues, finding solutions and making sure actions are followed through
- Working closely with the wider Maintenance and Property Management teams to maintain high standards across our portfolio

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
You’ll ideally be someone who:
- Is confident and articulate
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Is a natural problem solver and trouble-shooter
- Can think quickly and make sensible decisions
- Is highly organised and able to juggle multiple priorities
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
- Is computer literate and confident using systems
- Enjoys working with different people and building positive relationships
- Has a full, clean UK driving licence

This is afield-based role and you will be required to travel to properties in, around and beyond Derby, so you must be comfortable with daily travel as part of the role.
